By God’s grace alone

We always dig our own graves. Our selfishness puts us in chains and we mindlessly give all our efforts to the ephemeral. We follow our dreams, and before we know it, we are deep into a slimy pit. We turned our backs to our Lord, and we have no idea, nor the strength, to pull ourselves out of the mud and mire, and go back to our Father.

We all have these moments – we wake up one day and we find ourselves in a trap our own hands have made.  It can be a bad relationship, a faulty perspective, a bad habit, or SIN.

We feel empty, as we recall how good it felt when we were in God’s embrace.

We feel hopeless, as we loom in the blood in our hands – we have crucified Jesus all over again by our unwise choices.

But never underestimate the power of the Cross!

JESUS stepped out and obeyed the Father, knowing its cost, He died on the Cross.

And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. (Hebrews 10:10)

He lived again, for the exact purpose of pulling you out of your graves with Him, of setting your feet upon a rock, of giving you a firm place to stand.

Jesus did it all, so you can again live with Him.

And He does not have to do it all over again just to save you “again”. Now it is your turn to raise up your hand in worship, so He can pull you right up again.
